Vivienne Light
The book launch will be at Dorset County Museum, 22 October 2011

Research
for this book covers a period of several years and examines the lives and work
of a number of exciting artists, both past and present, who have had, or
continue to have, a connection with Cranborne Chase and its hinterland.
Cranborne
Chase lies in the south of England and encompasses land from three counties:
Dorset, Wiltshire and Hampshire.
The book consists of circa 280 pages with over 400 colour illustrations.

Amongst
the artists there are many celebrated names including members of the Nicholson family, Augustus and
Gwen John, John Craxton, Cecil Beaton, Stanley and Gilbert Spencer, Elisabeth
Frink and Henry Lamb.

Last, but
not least, there are a smaller number of contemporary artists and potters.
