Circling the Chase: artists of Cranborne and its hinterland

This book will take a look at a number of exciting artists, both past and present, whose work has, or has had, a connection with Cranborne Chase and its hinterland, in Dorset.

The book will consist of a number of texts which will be selectively grouped together and placed in different headed sections. These texts will vary in style and nature of content but will incorporate information from artist interviews. There will be a rich gallery section in the second half of the book.

One section of the book will centre on the Nicholson family and the painter Tim Nicholson. Tim's father was architect Christopher Nicholson, his mother, the artist E.Q. Nicholson and his uncle, the painter Ben Nicholson. To see some of the artists who will feature in the book go to:
